Help us build a permanent home in Mudgee.
Every dollar goes directly toward the prayer hall, the classroom, and the iftars we share with the wider Mudgee community.
Raised total is illustrative until the Donorbox campaign goes live.
From living rooms to a place of our own.
Mudgee's Muslim families have prayed in living rooms, hired halls, and borrowed spaces for years. A permanent centre means a place to call our own. Somewhere children grow up knowing where their mosque is, where new arrivals find familiar faces, and where our neighbours are always welcome to visit.
The build fund pays for the building, the fit-out, and the first year of running costs. After that, ongoing donations keep the lights on, the kettle warm, and the doors open.
Building a place of worship is a classic example of sadaqah jariyah — an ongoing charity that keeps giving long after the gift is made.
Every prayer offered, every child taught, and every neighbour welcomed in the new centre carries the donor's intention with it.
For every dollar you give.
Three buckets, in plain numbers. Confirmed by the treasurer and reviewed each year by an independent auditor.
The building
Purchase, fit-out, the prayer hall, and a classroom for weekend Quran study.
Programs
Quran classes, the women's circle, welfare support, and open days for the wider community.
Operating costs
Utilities, insurance, and the annual independent audit that keeps everything transparent.
Allocation breakdown is a placeholder, pending treasurer confirmation. We publish a financial report each year — read our financial policy for how donations are handled and audited.
كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنْبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنْبُلَةٍ مِائَةُ حَبَّةٍ
“Like a grain of corn which grows seven ears, each ear bearing a hundred grains.”

Small numbers, real things.
Every gift — once or monthly — pays for something specific the community uses each week.

Three ways to direct your gift.
Some donors want their gift ringfenced for a specific purpose. Pick the fund that fits, or give to all three.
Build fund
The capital appeal for a permanent home in Mudgee. Buys bricks, mortar, and the prayer hall itself.
Give to the build fundZakat
Zakat-eligible giving, handled separately and used only where religiously appropriate, in line with traditional rulings.
Give zakatSadaqah
Smaller, recurring gifts. Funds programs, hospitality, and the day-to-day life of the centre.

Quiet questions, plainly answered.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Can I give zakat?
Where will the new centre be built?
Can I give in person?
Can I set up a monthly gift?
Who decides how the money is spent?
Time, hands, and a kind word also count.
If a financial gift is not the right fit just now, there are other ways you can move the centre forward. Two hours a year is plenty.
Or simply tell a friend — a quiet recommendation goes a long way in a small town.
