A future place to pray
We’re raising funds for a permanent prayer hall — so families in Mudgee no longer have to travel hours for daily Salah and Jumu’ah.

Mudgee’s Muslim families currently gather in homes and hired rooms. We do not yet have a dedicated prayer space — and that is exactly why we are raising funds for a permanent home.
When the prayer hall opens, daily Salah, Jumu’ah, and Ramadan iftars will all happen under one roof. Until then, please reach out and we’ll let you know where local families are meeting next.
Mudgee’s Muslim community is small but growing — and until now, there has been no local place to gather, pray, or learn together. We are changing that, one step at a time.

Quran and Islamic studies for children and adults, run informally today and growing as we secure a permanent home.
Charity drives, food relief, and support for new arrivals — rooted in the belief that generosity builds community.
Iftars, Eid prayers, and everyday gatherings — hosted in homes and community spaces until our permanent home opens.
Some of these we run today in borrowed rooms and family homes. Others will open their doors the day the permanent centre is ready. Either way, you are welcome.
Weekly classes for children of all levels — warm, patient teachers and an encouraging space.
Fortnightly halaqas for adults — Quran, Islamic history, and open discussion.
Open-door iftars throughout Ramadan — neighbours, friends, and strangers all welcome.
Eid prayer and community breakfast. Bring the whole family.
Hamper drives, emergency relief, and support for new arrivals to the region.
Regular open-door events for the wider Mudgee community — schools, neighbours, local council.
Until our permanent home is built, gatherings happen in borrowed venues and family homes. Here is what is on the calendar and what we hope to host once the doors open.
Year 6 students drop in for a chat about Muslim life in regional Australia, with morning tea afterwards.
A gentle weekly circle for anyone learning to read Quran or wanting a slow, friendly tafsir session.
A slow walk along the Cudgegong with anyone who wants the company. Wiradjuri Country, fresh winter air, no agenda.
Mudgee is home to families from across the world — but there is no local prayer hall, no madrasa, no place to break fast together. A community centre changes that. It gives our children a place to learn, our parents a place to belong, and our neighbours a place to meet us.
Every dollar goes directly toward the prayer hall, the classroom, and the iftars we share with the wider Mudgee community.
