بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

مَن بَنَىٰ مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

— Prophet Muhammad (Bukhari & Muslim)

Why a permanent home

From living rooms
to a place of our own.

Mudgee’s Muslim families have prayed in living rooms, hired halls, and borrowed spaces for years. A permanent centre means a place to call our own — a prayer hall, a classroom, a kitchen warm with iftars.

Somewhere children grow up knowing where their mosque is. Somewhere new arrivals find familiar faces. Somewhere our neighbours are always welcome to visit.

Build-fund questions

Quiet questions, plainly answered.

How will I know my gift went to the building, not somewhere else?
The build fund is a separate account. The committee reviews build-fund spending quarterly, and an independent auditor reviews the annual accounts. We publish them in our financial policy.
Will my name appear anywhere?
Only with your consent. Most donors stay private. We invite major-gift donors (typically $5,000 and over) to be named on a donor wall when the building opens, only with their explicit permission.
Can I dedicate a gift to a family member?
Yes. Tell us in the message field on the donation form, or email info@mudgeeislamiccommunity.org. Many donors give in memory of a parent or grandparent.
Do you accept gifts from non-Muslims?
Yes, with gratitude. Several of our local Mudgee neighbours have given to the build fund, and we are happy to count them as part of this community’s effort.
Can I give in zakat?
Zakat is collected separately and used only where religiously appropriate. Most build-fund work does not qualify, so for zakat please see the zakat page.
What if the goal isn’t reached?
Every dollar still goes toward a permanent home, even if it takes longer than planned. No gift is refunded; nothing is wasted; the patience is part of the work.

Still have a question?

A short prayer

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا

“Our Lord, accept this from us.”

— Qur’an 2:127

Thank you for being part of this.

Whether you give once, give monthly, or simply tell a friend — you are helping build a place that will pray, learn, and welcome long after we are gone.
